How to Setup IIS SMTP for Pickup Delivery

In order to use Microsoft's Internet Information Server SMTP as your Pickup Delivery account for GroupMail, you will need to know how to setup the IIS SMTP server and setup a Pickup Delivery account in GroupMail.

Setup the IIS SMTP |
To setup the IIS SMTP, click "Start" from you PC Taskbar and select "Control Panel".
Click "Add or Remove Programs" icon from the Control Panel window as shown in Figure 1.

Click "Add/Remove Windows Components" from the Add or Remove Program window as shown in Figure 2.

Check the box for the "Internet Information Services (IIS)" option as shown in Figure 3.

To finish the installation process, you may need to insert a CD-ROM for the Windows

After the installation, you can configure the settings for the IIS SMTP server from its Properties windows. To open this windows,
- Open "Control Panel" window as described above
- Click "Administrative Tools" icon
- Click "Internet Information Services" icon
- Double clicks on your PC name from the "Internet Information Services" window
- Right click on "Default SMTP Virtual Server" and select "Properties"

Setup a Pickup Delivery Account |

To setup a Pickup Delivery account, open GroupMail and select "Accounts" from the Home Workspace as shown in Figure 5

Click "New" on the Account Manager as shown in Figure 6

Click the "Delivery Options" tab and select "Pickup" as the Delivery Options.
Select "Local IIS SMTP Pickup" as the third party Pickup Service as shown in Figure 7.
